With the MLB playoffs currently in full swing, Packer Shoes is celebrating the national pastime with a new collaborative capsule with Ebbets Field Flannels. The collection features two jerseys and two caps, all inspired by New York City’s storied baseball legacy.
New York Mammoths “Away”
In the acclaimed 1972 film, Bang the Drum Slowly, Robert DeNiro donned the uniform of the New York Mammoths, which gave a not-so-subtle nod to the iconic pinstripes of the Bronx Bombers. While the style of the world famous NY logo’s letters were tweaked a bit, the inspiration is unmistakable.
Now in time for the 2015 postseason, we’re giving a new twist to the classic look with an “away” version of the jersey featuring a navy wool base with white pinstripes and an adjustable ball cap to match.

New York “All City”
When it comes to New York baseball history, the Yankees may have an incomparable legacy, but the city has been home to a number of other teams through the years. The “All City” style pays homage to NYC’s baseball roots by incorporating multiple team logos onto one genuine wool flannel jersey.
Using a zip-front pinstriped base in off-white, the chest features the New York Cubans logo on the right chest, the Mammoths logo on the left chest and a jumbo New York Gothams “NY” logo across the back. The “All City” adjustable ball cap simplifies the message with a clean blank front and the NY Gothams logo stitched onto the back.
