adidas Running ALPHAEDGE 4D ($300)

Using its innovative 4D technology as the base, this Alphaedge 4D is designed for cross-training with reinforced stitching on the Primeknit upper to add support. The white upper has subtle grey TPU coated stitching in those areas that get greater stress. Grey hits the tongue tag and heel logo, while the heel pull gets a black strip. A white Continental outsole adds traction and a contrast under the mint green 4D midsole.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Rookie of the Year” – Golden Harvest/Black-Sail – ($160)

A brown button-up shirt that Michael Jordan wore when he accepted his Rookie of the Year award in 1985 gives this Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG its inspiration. With tumbled white leather as the base and brown suede overlays, black hits the collar, Wings logo, and Swoosh. Jordan’s stats and portions of his acceptance speech appear on the inside of the panels on the collar eyelets to honor MJ’s achievement.

Early 2000s basketball sneakers and attire inspire this collection from adidas and LA’s Bristol Studio. The Bristol Crazy BYW LVL I and the Bristol Crazy BYW LVL II use nylon, canvas, and suede on the uppers set over Boost midsoles in colorways that mix earth toned cream and grey on one model and black and cream on another. Era-specific nylon crinkle is used on some of the items in the apparel collection that ranges from tear-away pants, a warm up track top, a shooting t shirt, shorts, and jersey in light brown, white, and black to complete apparel crafted to honor the time period.

Italy’s urban culture trailblazer Slam Jam teams up with adidas for both  heritage and modern silhouettes. Reimagining the Superstar 80s with a minimalist take on the model with a smooth white leather upper offset with a cream leather shell toe and a black leather heel tab. The sneaker’s medial panel includes the text “connecting tribes of like-minded people across the world.” For the POD-S3.1, pared-down style is key again with neoprene and soft leather which collide with black on the heel tab and co-branded tongue tags to unite the brands.

Just Don elevates the iconic Timberland 6IN boot to recontextualize a classic in denim. Blue denim covers the upper if Timberland’s 6-inch boot with tan quadruple stitching, along with silver hardware on the eyelets. Fleece hits the heel collar, giving the boot a classic denim trucker jacket feel. Just Don branding hits the heel, while a baby blue strip hits above the brown outsole.

Nike Air Max 97 Premium “Blue Hero” – Blue Hero/White-Black-Varsity Red ($160)

The “Blue Hero” Nike Air Max 97 is named for the Carolina-like blue hue that covers the upper and the outsole. Swapping out the Swoosh on the midftoot mudguard panel for “NIKE” branding and adding a small Swoosh to the toe, the shoe also adds a woven band of large  font “AIR MAX” branding down the laces and onto the heel tab.

Nike Air Max 95 “Mowabb” – Champagne/Safety Orange-Sport Royal – ($180)

In 2008, a “King of the Mountain” edition of the Air Max 90 featured an Nike Mowabb-inspired colorway with serpentine leather on the mudguard and a psychedelic illustration visible though the outsole. This Air Max 95 adopts the ACG color scheme onto its silhouette and grabs the illustration for the outsole as well. Scaled leather hits the panel above the heel while royal and safety orange hit the throat of the shoe inspired by a famed ACG colorway.

Nike Air Max 95 “Safari” – Black/Granite/Safety Orange/Black – ($180)

In 1987, Tinker Hatfield designed what some consider to be the first lifestyle sneaker, the Nike Safari. His use of what has come to be known as the safari print has made its way onto several Nike models since then, including this Air Max 95. Adding to the inspiration, the 2008 Nike Air Max 1 Supreme “Keep Rippin Stop Slippin” Quickstrike provides the color choices and the use of long black horsehair, along with the translucent outsole that reveals an illustration found on the 2008 model.

Ellesse AW18 Collection

Since 1959, Elesse has crafted fashionable sportswear. Its logo is known as a semi-palla, with two ski tips surrounding the center of a tennis ball, and that logo is featured prominently on new apparel options and an updated classic sneaker. A navy Terrazzo jacket honors the ski roots with a badge on the sleeve and a minimal construction, and two track tops–one in navy and burgundy and another in marine blue, white, and black–feature horizontal striping and dual logos. An arc hoodie arrives with a woven retro Elesse logo as well to round out the clothing options. The sneaker is an updated version of the Venezia tennis shoe called the Vinitziana that features suede overlays that cover premium leather in three colorways: white/off white, off white/blue/grey, and off white/dark red/navy.
