While signature models have remained a constant in the basketball world, we’ve seen less attention paid to the notion of “player exclusives” in recent years.
With a new season right around the corner, adidas looks to reinvigorate the PE formula by not only outfitting rising NBA star, Kristaps Porzingis, with his very own NY Knicks-colored edition of the Crazy Explosive, but also creating a super-limited run to be made available to the public. Aside from the personalized heel strip, the shoe also features a royal/black Primeknit upper with orange accents and a black midsole encapsulating the Boost cushioning.
Limited to only 100 pairs, the Kristaps Porzingis Crazy Explosive PE ($150) will be available exclusively at a special release event at our Jersey City location (382 Marin Blvd) this Thursday, October 12th @ 6pm.
KP, himself, will be in attendance to meet fans and sign autographs, plus more surprises to come. Customers can begin lining up at 1pm. Event starts at 6pm. Inquire at store for full release details.
The last batch of adidas’ lifestyle-driven Consortium’s Day One offerings included a range of apparel and earth-toned Pure Boost sneakers. This go-around, the Crazy Explosive basketball model gets luxe suede upgrades that allow the wearer to convert the shoe to off-court settings. One model is blacked out with portions of the midsole overlay revealing white Boost cushioning. An additional colorway has a black collar and heel bisected with a sand-colored suede forefoot over a smoky misdole.
Both styles available Thursday, April 13th in-store at both Packer locations. Also available at midnight EST Wednesday, April 12th online at PackerShoes.com

Derrick Rose’s 7th signature model has its debut courtesy of Stockholm’s Sneakersnstuff. The shoe sports a gray Primeknit and suede upper with hints of yellow meant to pay homage to Rose’s high school, Simeon Career Academy. The Swedish flag is also a reference point, with blue eyelets and yellow hits throughout.
adidas Originals Harden Vol. 1 – “Imma Be A Star” ($160)
After the success of the CrazyLight, adidas Originals introduces James Harden’s first signature shoe. Boost tooling and a translucent midsole add the finishing touch.
