Another option is a more straightforward union of a white lower portion and black panels with a Persian purple liner and Air unit, reminiscent of a famous colorway of the Air Max BW.

Fresh pairs of the Air Max 98 arrive with a men’s model that calls back to a TL version  of the Air Max 98 (that has not since been retro released) and a women’s model with an interplay of two shades of pink. For the men’s pair a white mesh upper provides the base, while a black mudguard matches many of the stripes and panels. Racer blue hits the full-length Air unit, tongue, and laces, while subtle volt hits are found on the heel, footbed, and two lace tabs. For the ladies, the mesh portions of the upper and the full-length Air unit have a slightly darker shade of rose, while the mudguard and the panel above both share a lighter shade that matches the tongue and laces.
