Nike brings back the 1997 Air Max Uptempo in a college navy colorway that captures the styling of the era. White leather and panels of navy and black interact on the upper, which also features the model’s trademark script “Air” embroidery. A full length Air unit cushions the model with large iridescent panels above it.

Both high and low top versions of the Nike Air Force 1 ’07 LV8 get a bold chenille Swoosh for a unique twist on a classic. The low top is a crisp white model with blue and red on the chenille Swoosh, a blue heel tab, and a blue tongue logo. Red covers the upper of the high top version with a white and blue chenille Swoosh, a blue heel tab, blue tongue tag, and a blue strap.

Nike’s innovative Air Max 270 gets a pastel pink and deep burgundy colorway exclusive to women. The mesh bootie sock upper is covered in pale pink with hits of rose gold on the logos that appear on the tongue, heel tab, and Swooshes. A dark burgundy heel air unit and white midsole add contrast to this women’s lifestyle model.

Earth tones meet bright colors in the womens Ultra SI Pack, which includes an Air Presto and an Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0. Both utilize mushroom grey ripstop nylon paired with canvas and black stitching over corded seams. Each shoe has a pink tongue with volt green laces, adding pop to the neutral base coloring.

Two women’s and one men’s military-inspired Nike AF1 SF models arrive in muted colorways. For women the Nike Air Force 1 SF gets a classic color application with black canvas and leather over a gum sole. Tumbled leather falls across the upper with canvas on the heel with “Goddess of Victory” branding that appears on the heel and strap. A second women’s option arrives in the same materials in a khaki (“mushroom”) colorway with a light grey midsole. The men’s model opts for navy across the entire leather and ballistic nylon upper with navy double straps over a classic gum midsole.

Nike brings out two lifestyle renditions of running classics in the form of the Air Footscape Woven NM and the Mayfly Woven, each relying on ultra-lightweight uppers with woven accents. The Mayfly keeps it simple with a dark grey leather upper with a debossed heel Swoosh set atop a white sole. A gradient grey version of the Footscape Woven uses mesh on the upper to provide the base contrast for the black, white, and grey interlocking squares that wind their way through the upper which sits on a white midsole with hits of black on the outsole.

The Air Force 1 got a popular facelift in the form of the SF versions with military-inspired details and straightforward styling. This Mid version retains one collar strap and includes dual heel zippers with an ivory upper crafted in both tumbled leather and ballistic nylon. Again, the SF version removes the Swoosh and places military identification on the heel in neutral olive to match the midsole to bring the shoe together.

Nike Air Max 95 PRM – Cobblestone/Cobblestone-White ($170)

A minimal approach to a Nike classic hit the shelves in the form of the Air Max 95 PRM. This cobblestone colorway keeps it simple with grey suede on each of the panels, with the top panel in a lighter hairy suede. 3M hits the heel as usual, and the white midsole and outsole provides just enough contrast to give the model some balance.

Three women’s runners, a Sock Dart, Air Footscape Woven, and an Air Presto, hit the shelves in time for fall. A monochrome taupe Sock Dart features a mesh upper with a plastic toe cap, heel cap, and cage. Multiple colors land on the woven portion of the Air Footscape Woven between the sail suede panels that sit on a white midsole and speckled grey outsole. The third model is a monochrome Air Presto with light pink on the neoprene sock and plastic cage, heel cap, and toe cap–all placed over a contrasting white midsole and gum outsole for a classic finish.

Nike’s ACG line was thriving back when the original Pocketknife came out in 1998.
