New Balance’s recently introduced X-90 Recon blends classic design elements from a variety of 99X Series models to create a new shoe that feels right at home sitting alongside the original catalog. Packer expands that formula a few steps further, outfitting the silhouette with iconic color and material references pulled from nine different archive staples.

Through thoughtful execution of suedes, meshes and synthetics, New Balance has always been known for their masterful ability to bring colorways together in nuanced explorations of greys and blues — and in countless cases, a combination of the two. The Packer X-90 Recon poses the idea: what would happen if you took all these blues and greys — from deep navy to sky blues and teals, airy greys to muddy greys and murky charcoals — and arranged them all together in one harmonious design?

Now, what if you took the numerical New Balance model names from the four shoes that went into the X-90 design and the nine shoes that inspired the colors and materials and multiplied them all together? You would have a number so large, we’ve shortened it to simply, the “Infinity Edition”.

The Packer x New Balance X-90 Recon “Infinity Edition” ($130) releases Saturday, October 20th at 12 noon EST in-store at both locations and online at PackerShoes.com (sizes 7-13).

Worldwide exclusive, available only at Packer.

To celebrate the release of our upcoming adidas Consortium EQT 91/18, we’ve partnered with renowned mountain bike specialists, Ritchey, to create custom co-branded Timberwolf bikes to be given away to two lucky winners.

The Timberwolf is an all-mountain trail bike, originally introduced in 1984 to meet the growing need for a rugged bike that could handle anything put in front of it. This custom “91/18” edition is fully equipped and loaded from front to back and features a two-tone gradient paint job adorned by Packer and adidas branding elements.

There are two ways to win:

IN-STORE:
Everyone who purchases a pair of the shoe at our Teaneck or Jersey City location will be entered to win the in-store bike raffle.

ONLINE:
The first 100 customers who purchase their pair on PackerShoes.com will be automatically entered to win the online bike raffle.

Picking up where our worldwide exclusive EQT 91 left off, we proudly celebrate part two of the Packer x adidas Consortium “EQT Adventure” collection with the EQT 91/18.

While the first shoe paid homage to the colors and materials of the classic outdoor-focused EQT Adventure line, the Boost™ + Primeknit equipped EQT 91/18 model takes those foundational cues and evolves the concept into something geared for today and beyond.

Using the EQT 91/18’s blend of classic Equipment design and contemporary perspectives as its canvas, the shoe features a combination of materials that give nods to both eras. A wool-blend Primeknit vamp sits alongside a hairy suede quarter for a juxtaposition that creates the perfect bridge between the nostalgic look and feel of 1991 and the modern production possibilities of 2018.

A molded heel and 3-stripe TPU cage add support to the upper, finished with a premium leather lining and rope laces. At its base, a black Boost™ midsole is accented by essential overrun 3-stripe marks branding and a durable rubber outsole.

The Packer x adidas Consortium 91/18 will be available 12 noon EST, Saturday, September 29th, in-store at both Packer locations and online at packershoes.com (sizes 7-13).

As an added bonus, we’ve teamed up with legendary mountain bike pioneers, Ritchey, to create the special custom Timberwolf bike seen here. Featuring a two-tone gradient paint job and Packer/adidas co-branding, the bike will be given away to one lucky purchaser of the shoe. Stay tuned for more details leading up to the Saturday release.

When the adidas Equipment line first launched in 1991, its goal was to be “Everything that’s essential. Nothing that’s not,” and that included a very minimal approach to color. The initial EQT line-up is best remembered for its running silhouettes and their instantly recognizable white/green color scheme — a look that went against the grain by shifting the focus strictly to performance rather than relying on the bright color applications that dominated footwear trends at the time.

But the EQT line meant much more than running, as it covered the gamut of footwear categories and athletic needs. One of the true high-points of the early EQT output was the “Adventure Equipment” line, featuring a full range of rugged outdoor footwear options that not only demonstrated the versatility of the brand’s new direction, but also introduced a wider spectrum of colors and materials.

The Packer x adidas EQT ’91 celebrates the classic EQT Adventure palettes by taking color cues from archive models to create an homage to this seminal era of adidas footwear. The shoe features a combination of premium suedes and leather complemented by heavy duty mesh and technical synthetics.

Limited to only 250 pairs and available exclusively at Packer, the shoe will release in-store 12 noon Friday, September 21st, at the Packer Teaneck grand re-opening for a retail price of $155. An online release will follow on Saturday, September 22nd, at 12 noon EST at packershoes.com.

To join Diadora in their 70th anniversary celebration, Packer pays homage to a special era of the brand’s rich legacy when two of their most critical categories were hitting new high points — early ‘90s tennis and running.

The “ON/OFF” Collection gives a nod to the best of both worlds by taking Diadora’s top of the line tennis and running offerings of the time and reimagining them as a two-pair set, with one intended for the court and the other to wear everywhere else.

Packer x Diadora “ON/OFF” Collection
Made in Italy.

Available 12 noon EST Friday August 24th, exclusively online at packershoes.com and in-store at our Jersey City location while supplies last.

Both pairs are limited in quantities and include special packaging, hangtag and three alternate lace sets.

The Packer “ON/“ edition takes inspiration from Diadora’s 1991 US Open kits and features a combination of kangaroo and tumbled leather on the upper with open mesh side panels and a micro-perfed toebox for added breathability. Additional details include customized heel loops, lace dubraes and tongue logo badges.

The Packer “/OFF“ edition offers a clean and luxurious take on the classic runner with a medley of premium leathers and suedes on the upper, paired with subtle details such as micro-perfing, heel logo badges, reflective 3M accents and an open mesh side panel window.

Ever since the debut of the Club C in 1985 (then known as the Revenge Plus), it has been one of the crown jewels of the Reebok arsenal. Its tasteful simplicity provides an enticing versatility that has always made the shoe a staple for all walks of life.

From its beginnings as a model built for the tennis court and country clubs, it has evolved and grown to reach everyone from the ‘80s fitness buffs to the fashion scene, skate culture to your dad on the couch, and nearly everybody in between.

It’s a shoe that anyone can wear and look good doing it — a notion that we celebrate with Packer’s Club C “Marcial” edition ($110). Putting a premium twist on the iconic model, its rich cream tumbled leather uppers and updated lacing bring a new level of sophistication to the timeless Club C formula.

While built on the idea of leisure and luxury, the “Marcial” is still a shoe for the people, giving appreciators of the ubiquitous silhouette a chance to dress it up a bit more than usual, while still offering the same multifaceted style applications it has always provided.

Available 12 noon EST Friday, August 10th, in-store and online at our Jersey City location and packershoes.com.
