After our unique “Cow Suits” pack of Puma Clydes, two more Premium models hit the shelves in more subdued approaches with classic suede uppers and leather formstripes over clean white soles and soft leather liners. One black suede model has a bold yellow formstripe and heel tab with gold debossed logos. A cream white model features a “cabernet” colored formstripe and heel logo for a strong retro look.

A fashion icon both as a player and as a television personality, Walt “Clyde” Frazier’s sense of style is one of the most recognizable in the world of sports. His ’70s retro look was known for turtlenecks, fur coats and hats, and a love for animal prints that still carries on today through his unrivalled wardrobe stocked with a colorful assortment of wild custom-tailored suits. That sense of adventurous style is what we channeled into our collaborative renditions of his classic eponymous PUMA silhouette.

Among all the bold prints and patterns that Clyde has worn over the years, it’s hard to top his cow print looks. The Black & Red colorways of the Puma Clyde are constructed with plush suede uppers, each pair complimented with a faux fur cow print Formstripe inspired by two of Clyde’s most iconic suits. The cow print appears again on the sockliner with Packer branding in a gold print. A premium leather tongue label, milky white sole and gold branding throughout provide the finishing touches.

In celebration of this special collaboration, PUMA and Packer decided to add our own contribution to the incomparable cow suit legacy by producing an exclusive Friends & Family pair to drop alongside the other two. This special pair is decked out with an all faux cow hide upper dipped in a deep royal blue and complemented with gold accents and an orange cow print sockliner, all paying homage to Clyde’s longstanding impact on New York basketball.

The blue cow print edition will drop exclusively at Packer, limited to only 73 pairs as a nod to the 1973 NY Knicks championship season that Frazier played a huge part in.

To further bring this concept to life, we partnered with Clyde’s longtime tailor, Mohan’s in NYC, to create a custom blue cow print suit made from the very same material as the shoes. The suit will be presented to Clyde on his birthday this Wednesday as a gift from Packer, PUMA and Mohan’s.

All three colorways will release at 12 noon EST this Friday, March 31st, both in-store and online at for a retail price of $110.
