adidas Basketball Crazy Explosive Low PK – Triple White ($140)
adidas Basketball unveils the Crazy Explosive Low, an update to the Crazy Explosive that makes the shoe an easier wear off the court. Draped in an all-white Primeknit single-piece upper and dynamic lacing locking the foot down. The shoe sits atop a full length Boost unit cradled by a TPU roll cage for controlled comfort.
adidas Originals Harden Vol. 1 – “Imma Be A Star” ($160)
After the success of the CrazyLight, adidas Originals introduces James Harden’s first signature shoe. The color is inspired by an old note left by Harden to his mother, dubbed “Imma Be A Star.” The upper features predominantly black suede speckled with gold accents throughout. Boost tooling and a translucent midsole add the finishing touch.
Fresh off the heels of the mis-matched 2004 “All-Star Game” edition, adidas’ Basketball division brings us another classic original color way of the TMAC 3 with the white/college royal “Orlando” edition.
As with the 2003 original, the “Orlando” TMAC 3 is constructed using a white croc-printed synthetic upper with a contrasting smooth leather applied on the heel. Additional features include embossed “3-stripe” branding on the lateral sides with perforations on the lateral side for added breathability, college royal and metallic silver accents throughout.
The white/college royal adidas Basketball TMAC 3 “Orlando” edition is now available both in-store and online at PackerShoes.com.
As teams gear up for the post season, adidas Basketball provides us with a battle tested classic worn in one of the greatest post season runs of our time with the retro of the Crazy 1 “Playoff” edition.
This version of Kobe’s old sig features a molded, mesh constructed upper with black trim and chrome accents. The same tandem works with subtle hits of yellow to finish off the midsole and outsole below.
The adidas Basketball Crazy 1 “Playoff” edition is now available both in-store and online at PackerShoes.com.
This past Sunday’s extravaganza in New Orleans was recorded in the books as the highest scoring NBA all-star game of all-time. Ten years prior, during the 2004 all-star studded affair held in Los Angeles’ Staple Center, a young Tracy McGrady made his own historic feat (pun not intended…) by becoming the first player ever to throw an alley-oop to himself while wearing 2 different shoes.
En route to his second scoring title and All-NBA Second team selection that season, McGrady was voted by fans to star at small forward for the eastern squad. With the game being played under the bright lights of Hollywood, players and their respective shoe companies pulled out a lot off heavy artillery when it came to the footwear of choice for that evening. None more than adidas’ basketball division who blessed Tracy with a red patent leather player sample version of his signature TMAC 3 to wear. Staying true to his Gemini ways, instead of choosing just the red PE pair to wear, McGrady opted to rock both the red PE pair and an Orlando blue patent leather PE pair in mixmatched fashion (blue pair on the right, red pair on the left).
While the eastern squad went on to eventually lose that game with a close score of 132-136, Tracy definitely won the sneaker battle for most memorable kicks ever worn by a player participating in an all-star game.
Back for the first time since that momentous night, Packer Shoes in conjunction with adidas Basketball proudly present the adidas TMAC 3 “2004 All-Star Game” Player Exclusive.
Features include a full red and blue patent leather upper with metallic silver accents in addition to a striped perforated medial panel, 3D Torsion technology and adiPrene Cushioning. Additional cues include embossed TMAC and adidas 3-stripe logos on the toe, heel and lateral side panels.
A limited run of only 200 pairs will be made available for purchase IN-STORE ONLY exclusively at Packer Shoes this Saturday, March 1st at 7pm with special guest Tracy McGrady!
Retail for the US exclusive launch of the adidas TMAC 3 “2004 All-Star Game PE” will be $130 USD.
