Alexander Wang and adidas Originals release a third drop from a collection celebrating imperfections in items at the sample stage of production, and the inspiration for this drop is the idea of garments full of permanent creases and uneven patterns taken from a found box in a warehouse. Two sneakers called the AW Turnout Trainer arrive in chalk grey with black details and and black with hits of white and bold orange. The sneakers stand out with a sample tag graphic on the toebox and upside down tongue tags. Apparel includes windbreakers and Adibreak pants with AW detailing and 1/2 zip windbreakers in both orange and black. Rounding out this third drop is the AW Adilette slides constructed for summer with white herringbone geometric patterns set over a black footbed.

The collection will be available tonight at midnight EST online at PackerShoes.com. The footwear will also be available tomorrow, June 23rd in-store at our Jersey City locations.

Digging into its archives, adidas unearths two silhouettes meant to celebrate the 90s “Summer of Love” and rave culture in its Spezial collection. Two Glenbuck runners–one in cream grey, red, and black and another in pastel green shades, white and navy– showcase vintage adidas styling via mesh uppers with suede overlays on the heel, toe, and lace panels set over a webbed EVA midsole. The Indoor Kreft bears a resemblance to the recently-released handball shoe, as this model uses premium pigskin and mesh with a padded collar set over a translucent gum outsole.

For an expansive collection of four shoes and various apparel, adidas teams up with Japanese designer Shinsuke Takizawa’s NEIGHBORHOOD. For the footwear options, an NMD_R1 option adds a TPU sheet with serrated details over black Boost midsole and black bumpers, while a new model called the Chop Shop also uses the geometric teeth pattern set over a white Boost midsole. The classic Gazelle gets blacked out with branding on the heel, as does the fourth and final model, the silhouette formally known as the Iniki, which is now known as the I-5923. Apparel options are also blacked out and include a soccer jersey, track pants, three jackets, and a crewneck sweatshirt.

The entire collection will be available tonight at midnight EST online at PackerShoes.com. Also available Saturday, February 24th in-store at both Packer locations. First come, first serve.

adidas Originals Crazy BYW LVL 1 – Black ($170)

90’s adidas basketball models, like the Crazy 8, boasted curved soles with a “Feet You Wear” idea that a wider base would help protect ankles from rolling. These BYW (BOOST You Wear) LVL 1 sneakers update that approach with lightweight uppers, an innovative lacing system, and a three-pod BOOST sole system for maximum flexibility and comfort.

Various “triple black” and “triple white” iterations of adidas’ NMD have hit the market in the past, and this time a pack of two minimal renditions arrives with Japanese writing on the EVA midsole plugs. Each is crafted from Primeknit on the upper with BOOST cushioning.
