adidas Originals Rivarly OG – CryWht/Blue/Orange – ($110)
adidas brought an 80s basketball silhouette called the Rivalry out of the vaults a few months back as part of its capsule collection with Eric Emanuel, and the model returns with a New York Knicks colorway. This OG version offers full grain leather across the upper with hits of orange on the collar, Three Stripes branding, and tongue. Blue hits the midsole, Three Stripes branding, Trefoil heel logo, liner, and toebox. An original Rivalry logo hits the tongue tag for a final nod to its predecessor.
This Spezial release goes bask to the early aughts for a retro of the adidas ZX530 that uses London as its influence. This season’s Spezial releases include some curated by Robert “Brooksy” Brooks, who went into the archive to bring out a few heritage silhouettes from his collection. With a mix of grey mesh and nubuck, the upper features pops of burgundy and “SPZL” branding on the medial panel and tongue tag. A grey and white EVA midsole adds a classic finish to this archival release.
