New Balance looks to its classic 90s runners and updates the tech with this duo of X-90s. The color combinations also hearkens back to well-known models: one version with a blue base and tonal gray overlays and another with white mesh and gray overlays.
Both styles available in-store at our Jersey City location and online now.
New Balance reinterprets their classic 900 series with their 2018 MSX90 silhouette with the “Surplus” Pack. The black model has a mesh upper with grey, forest green, and navy blue overlays with a pink pod on the midsole, while the white option has veg tan and grey overlays with a red pod on the midsole.

New Balance MSX90BG “Surplus” – Black/Forest Green/Navy ($140)
New Balance MS247TT “Tritium” – Black/Solar Yellow ($140)
New Balance’s Tournament “Tritium” version of the MS247 adds premium materials to a bold colorway. Leather and breathable mesh combine on the all black upper that sits atop alternating pink and solar yellow REVlite midsoles. The outsoles and tongue tags also alternate on the left and right shoes for an added color pop to an upscaled edition of a newer silhouette.
Iconic New Balance styling hits a Made in the USA grey, navy, and red M997. Pigskin suede hits the light grey panels on the upper, which combines with navy leather on the heel and mesh on the toe. 3M detailing on the collar and near the toe box adds visibility, while the ENCAP midsole adds cushioning.
The New Balance MS247 grafts in a classic grey color way on its sleek new model. With its slimmed-down bootie sock design, this version uses gradient greys on the suede and mesh upper with a reflective N logo over an off-white REVlite outsole.
New Balance delivers two made in the UK 1500 models that add some pop. One mixes premium nubuck, suede, smooth leather, and mesh on the upper with a purple mudguard, a bright blue midfoot, and multi-colored stitching on the heel and tongue logos over a white ENCAP midsole. A second offering tones it down a bit, moving the purple to the lining and a tiny hit on the midsole and keeping the multi-colored embroidery on an otherwise black and white upper.

Fresh off a well-received collaboration with Stance socks, New Balance’s M997 gets an eye-popping colorway with snakeskin accents. This Made in the USA model blends neutral colors with suede hits of salmon on the toe, olive on the heel, and textured brown snakeskin on the heel and logo for strong use of color blocking on this signature runner.
New Balance continues to re-imagine classics, and this 574S is a sleek model which appears in two colorways, one with a grey mesh sock upper with a mesh toebox which pairs with black suede on the upper. A black heelcap sits above a red cut-out on the heel of a new FreshFoam midsole for increased comfort. The lighter-colored model features white mesh and grey suede over a FreshFoam sole with black and red hits.
Available at midnight EST Friday, July 14th online at PackerShoes.com. Also available Saturday, July 15th in-store at both Packer locations.
Coming off a successful collaboration with Diadora, Switzerland’s Titolo strikes again with New Balance’s new go-to model, the MRL247. This “Deep into the Blue” version opts for a dark blue navy and suede construction on the upper with a pink terrycloth “N” logo, contrasting pink and purple heel pulls, and Titolo-branded lacetips. A cream midsole is finished off with a classic gum sole to complete the timeless theme of summer.
After the release of multiple color options with the “Breathe Pack,” another trio of New Balance 247s arrive in suede. Monochrome options in hemp, porcelain blue, and rose are available with perforated suede on the toe and a classic gum sole for a shoe that mixes updated tech with throwback styling.
