Prior to signing his unprecedented endorsement contract with Nike Basketball, LeBron James was every major basketball footwear brands’ prime free agent target. While enrolled at Akron Ohio’s St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, LeBron’s varsity squad was officially sponsored by adidas and could be seen on the court wearing various shoes from their basketball line.
One of the major highlights of this footwear exhibition was the largely popular adidas T-Mac 1. While at the time it was utterly impossible for LBJ’s early followers to obtain this highly sought after gem from the archives, adidas hoops finally decided to release them in early 2013.
With LeBron’s return to his native Cleveland Cavaliers who visit the New York Knicks tonight for another prime time duel at Madison Square Garden, it was only fitting to re-introduce this classic silhouette in one of it’s most iconic color ways one last time.
