Nike Shox R4 “Triple Black” – Black/Black-Black – ($140)

Nike revisits the Shox R4 that was first released in the year 2000 in a “Triple Black” offering. The R4 was crafted by Sergio Lozano and Bruce Kilgore (the man behind the design of the Air Force 1) and takes its inspiration from track shoes. Perforated details hit some of the panels, which rest on the silhouette’s heel cushioned by Shox technology.

Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 “Triple Black”

Scottie Pippen’s Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 is a classic 90s basketball sneaker from the era that defined Nike’s hoops legacy. This version blacks out the model, from the suede and smooth leather upper, the midsole, and the outsole with it’s cut-out portion, which reveals the full-length Air unit.

Y-3 Kusari – Triple Black ($400)

Trademark monochromatic adidas Y-3 styling hits the blacked-out Kusari silhouette. The sock upper has suede overlays on both the toe and heel and a full grain leather hit on the toe. Black Boost adds the cushioning to the model with simple white Y-3 branding on the tongue.

The Nike SF AF1 has made an impact on the lifestyle market with a military-inspired take on the 1982 basketball classic. This blacked-out version mixes smooth leather with ballistic nylon on the upper and includes black double straps for support.

Y3 FW17 PureBoost – Triple Black ($320)

adidas “triple black” editions are always crowd-pleasers, and this Y3 PureBoost is sure to do the same. Welded tonal TPU hits the stripes, laces, toe, and heel portions, while a knit upper provides a darker contrast. Black leather hits the tongue and lines the shoe, which is finished off with black BOOST midsole cushioning.

When adidas introduced the Ultra Boost, they shifted the game with a model that blends style and comfort. A”Triple Black” edition combines a black painted Boost midsole with a blacked out upper with a new wrinkle — a matted out heel cup.
